Beaches Is The Most Bali Tourists Destination

If you are planning a beach holiday in the exotic East, you could not ask for a better destination than the Indonesian island of Bali. The main beaches in Bali are Kuta, Legian, Sanur, Nusa Dua, Lovina and Candidasa. Each of these beaches offers a unique vibe; however all beaches have one thing in common and that is that they have plenty of accommodation options from resorts to luxury Bali villas and so depending on your budget and requirements, you can choose your accommodation and have the sand right at your doorstep.

From palm fringed beaches with soft white sand to the wild sand beaches, you will find a beach to your choice. Aside from simply lounging in a hammock or soaking up the sun, you can indulge in a number of beach activities including kayaking, diving, parasailing and more.

Here is a brief look at what each beach has to offer.

Kuta beach: By far one of the most popular beaches in Bali, Kuta is the party zone of the island. During the day, you can go surfing, sun bathe, hang out, play volleyball; in the evening enjoy the sunset; and then it is time for the party to roll. There are plenty of places to eat and drink on the beach.

Sanur beach: Counted amongst the most beautiful beaches in Bali, Sanur beach is about a 10 minutes drive away from the capital Denpasar. Stay in your own Bali villa, wake up to the sounds of the water washing ashore, and after sunrise, take a canoe to explore the outlying islands. Given the beach is surrounded by corals, it is a preferred destination for those interested in snorkelling. The beach is a haven for water activities and you can try out surfing, jet-skiing, touring on glass-bottom boats, canoeing, windsurfing, and sailing. Aside from soaking up the sun and enjoying a number of water activities, you can also explore the nearby countryside.

Legian beach: For a more laid back beach experience, check out the Legian beach. The beach is less touristy but offers good facilities. You can simply relax, take in the scene or indulge in something more active like parasailing, surfing, and snorkelling. However, given the strong currents, swimming on the beach is not recommended.

Jimbaran beach: This beach is pretty secluded and is perfect for those who want their own personal space in the sun. You can spend the day soaking up the sun or spending peaceful hours walking on the soft white sand. The sunsets here are spectacular and made all the more enjoyable by the tranquil surroundings.

Lovina beach: The landscape here is pretty different from the other beaches. The sand here is black and volcanic and the reef present here ensures that the water is safe for swimming. As with other beaches, the sun rises and sun sets are spectacular and in the evenings, the fishermen boats returning with the day’s catch present a pretty sight.

Nusa Dua beach: This is considered to be the high-end resort of Bali, something which is pretty obvious when you consider the high end accommodations here from resorts, five star hotels and luxury Bali villas. The shallow waters are ideal for swimming and there are lifeguards on duty. Besides, the immaculately maintained 18 holes golf course is also located here.
