Budhist Temple Banjar,Intresting Place Lovina ,Bali

A very interesting place to visit in Lovina is the Temple and Buddhist Monastery in Banjar, North Bali, near Lovina, more than just a “tourist attraction”. It’s still in use, and you can find groups of people who live in the nearest Ashram. It is also known as the Banjar Buddhist Temple, is the largest Buddhist temple in Bali.

Located in the hills in the village of Banjar Tegehe, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency about 22 km west of Singaraja City and 9 km from Lovina tourist attractions. Buddhist temple is not a tourist trap, entrance is free, but donations are accepted. Even your sarong may need to enter the temple, you can use it for free. The Buddhist temple is located on a hill above Lovina and offers beautiful views. In the 6th century, Buddhist monks thought they had landed and settled in North Bali, and Balinese Hinduism had a lot of Buddhist influence.

The terraced complex has several prayer rooms with golden Buddha statues, and several Buddha statues in the park. At the highest level of the complex you find a Stupa, most like a small version of Borobudur in Java. This place is very much visited by foreign tourists, and is a place of meditation or worship for Buddhists
